Coaching and Mentoring through Purple House

Purple House has been setting the standard in the recruitment of HR staff for nearly 8 years and we have recently added a new service to our growing portfolio.

“Purple House Executive Coaching” is led by Martyn Melvin, a Director at Purple House. Martyn has developed his own coaching skills over the last ten years through a combination of personal experience, 1-2-1 tuition and by obtaining the level 7 certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring from the ILM. He has coached clients in a variety of business sectors throughout the UK.

Martyn and other experienced coaches in the Purple House stable will provide not only extremely valuable mentoring programmes to HR staff but also 1-2-1 Executive Coaching for any senior business role where there is a desire in individuals to improve performance, develop management skills and simply progress.

Coaching is essentially a facilitated experience where the coach support learning and understanding which brings about enhanced performance in the person being coached.

It is impossible to describe in detail what each coaching programme will look like because it is, importantly, a tailored and personal service delivered when you want it and designed to meet your needs – precisely. But in general we adopt the same overall approach and values to all assignments.

  • Firstly we talk, without commitment, to discuss your needs and what you expect to get out of coaching.
  • We explain what coaching is and what it is not – as there are sometimes misconceptions.
  • We will then match your needs to an appropriate coach as the chemistry in selecting the right coach is also very important.
  • We are bound by the code of Ethics of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and we will give you an outline of these regulations.
  • If you wish to go ahead we will draw up a coaching contract which covers our work, we will tell you the approaches and techniques we use to facilitate learning and personal development and agree the practicalities such as cost, timing and location.
  • We also agree your goals and how we can measure these - we like to measure your progress too.
  • All our work is entirely confidential and not shared with your employer unless you wish it.
  • Unlike some organisations we have no minimum number of sessions and no maximum either, it is entirely client driven to fit your needs.
