Our client is a leading provider of integrated solutions to builders
and operators of aircraft. With 10,000 employees worldwide, they provide
their international customer base with expertise in mechanical and electronic
systems, components and customer services.
The HR department is structured into centres of excellence' and
one of these centres; Learning and Development, is looking for an HR
Development Advisor. This role will to work closely with HR Business
Partners to define training needs and source training solutions for
a range of levels and types of employees. It is expected that the successful
candidate will move into a generalist HR Business Partner role in 12-24
months so this role would suit someone with some development experience
seeking to broaden it but with a desire to eventually return to a generalist
role.
This role is unusual in that it will not include design or delivery,
so is not a standard' Development role and therefore will not
suit a standard trainer'. We need candidates who can challenge
thinking, appreciate wider business interests and who can also construct
ways of measuring the results of training solutions. Managing external
supplier relationships so that solutions are designed and delivered
to meet business needs will be an important part of the role.
Applicants should have the following background/experience:
- A Graduate, ideally with an HR or business related degree and ideally
Grad CIPD
- A mix of generalist and development experience approximately
5 years minimum
- Experienced at identifying development needs and sourcing relevant
solutions
- Some Project Management experience
- Some experience of measuring the impact of training solutions
- Probably a large company background, ideally in a complex, matrix
structure business
