

The role holder will assist in the implementation and administration of HR processes and programmes that will maximise the contribution of those employed in the Business in the achievement of the Business objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
• To organise and implement valid recruitment and selection processes and programmes that will enable the organisation to be resourced at every level with individuals capable of meeting the demanding standards of performance that are set for them.
• To promote and advise upon of a range of policies and processes through appraisal, training, employee involvement and reward that will maximise the performance of those employed in the Business both as individuals and members of a team.
• To advise and support line managers on the implementation of HR processes, programmes; developing their HR skills and knowledge so as to improve business performance while ensuring that company policy and employment legislation is adhered to.
• To co-ordinate grievance, discipline and termination processes in order that business efficiency is maximised without compromising employment legislation or company procedure.
• To participate in the development of HR practices, policies and procedures so to ensure the establishment of best HR practice across the Business.
• To routinely monitor, on behalf of the Business Unit HR Manager, business performance in identified personnel 'key performance indicators' so as to measure and improve their impact of the function on business performance.
• To undertake and/or contribute to ‘ad hoc’ HR project activities and initiatives as required.
Vision / Context
Working in close partnership with line management, the jobholder is responsible for the day to day delivery of a professional, cost effective HR service to the Works areas in support of the CSP UK Annual Plan, and thereby responsible for the development and maintenance of a high profile business partnership with the operational areas.

Knowledge and Experience
• The jobholder must have the ability to create a high level of trust with employees at all levels.
• The ability to negotiate at local business management team level.
• Preferably educated to degree level, preferably with post graduate qualifications in HR
• CIPD qualified or working towards this or equivalent professional status.
• The ability to work under under pressure and to tight timescales
