Our client, one of the UKs largest financial services companies
with an enviable reputation in its field for providing a great choice
of products coupled with excellent customer service is now looking for
an experienced Training Officer.
The company employs over 4000 staff in the UK. Its head office function,
employing 1500 people, houses many of its administrative and professional
departments, including its training function. It is for this function
that the business now seeks a further Training Officer, to work as part
of a large team providing management development training solutions
across the business.
Principal Accountabilities:
This role requires an individual who will operate as a training generalist
analysing, designing and delivering open learning and training solutions
which contribute towards the fulfilment of the companys training
and development plan. You will be responsible for designing, producing,
facilitating and delivering training solutions, which you have identified
as a business need within your client groups, using a variety
of media. It will also involve reviewing training processes and systems
to improve effectiveness of delivery.
The focus of this position is on developing middle management through
soft skills training. It will involve some training related project
work for example designing and delivering such courses as: Customer
Services training, Management Skills, Leadership, Behavioural Training.
The role is split 50/50 between design and delivery.
Person Specification:
- 3 years experience in a similar role, with a track record of
designing and delivering effective training solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of training management
in soft skills.
- It is not necessary to have financial services experience, but
would suit a candidate with experience of a customer led organisation,
for example retail or hospitality.
- Strong facilitation skills
- Will need maturity and credibility when presenting/coaching management
- Commercially aware
- Be able to think on your feet
- An inspirational leader
- Able to adapt to many different environments and to working with
people from all backgrounds.
