Our client is a leading manufacturer of commercial and domestic equipment, leading the way in innovative design in its field. Based in Cheltenham, the business has manufactured a range of quality products since the 30’s and continues to diversify and grow, despite the current market difficulties that many of its competitors are experiencing.

Its parent company has invested huge amounts in new technology at its manufacturing facilities and in its New Product Development (NPD) division. The business has expanded into Europe and Internationally and continues to acquire and grow those businesses but is especially keen to retain its UK manufacturing base both in terms of delivering product to the customer, and to maintain its focus and commitment to quality.
The company now need to recruit an HR Adviser to join its existing HR team. You will also get involved with HR project work.

Applicants should be ideally be Graduates who can demonstrate 3 years generalist experience and should ideally be CIPD qualified, although if a candidate can demonstrate sound generalist experience but is only part -qualified, they will still be considered. In addition to generalist experience, applicants must demonstrate a credible, mature approach.

It is essential that you can demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The client-base includes intelligent, creative and demanding individuals, so there is a real need to both deliver HR solutions and to challenge managers. Importantly, you will have to show that you are a ‘self-starter’ able to take on some of the more meaty work that comes into the department without needing hand-holding.

This is a great opportunity to join this expanding and profitable organisation whose HR Manager considers that the primary function of the HR department is to do all it can to motivate its people and to equip managers to do the same.
