Our client is a leading manufacturer of commercial and domestic equipment,
leading the way in innovative design in its field. Based in Cheltenham,
the business has manufactured a range of quality products since the
30s and continues to diversify and grow, despite the current market
difficulties that many of its competitors are experiencing.
Its parent company has invested huge amounts in new technology at its
manufacturing facilities and in its New Product Development (NPD) division.
The business has expanded into Europe and Internationally and continues
to acquire and grow those businesses but is especially keen to retain
its UK manufacturing base both in terms of delivering product to the
customer, and to maintain its focus and commitment to quality.
The company now need to recruit an HR Adviser to join its existing HR
team. The successful candidate will take on a varied and interesting
workload at the Cheltenham site which includes acting as the day to
day business partner for the NPD function as well as Finance
and IT departments. You will also get involved with HR project work.
Applicants should be ideally be Graduates who can demonstrate 3 years
generalist experience and should ideally be CIPD qualified, although
if a candidate can demonstrate sound generalist experience but is only
part -qualified, they will still be considered. In addition to generalist
experience, applicants must demonstrate a credible, mature approach.
It is essential that you can demonstrate an ability to work effectively
in a fast-paced environment. The client-base includes intelligent, creative
and demanding individuals, so there is a real need to both deliver HR
solutions and to challenge managers. Importantly, you will have to show
that you are a self-starter able to take on some of the
more meaty work that comes into the department without needing hand-holding.
