Purple House Recruitment was established in July 2002 with the aim of creating a recruitment consultancy with quality standards that both Directors felt were lacking in the industry as a whole. Our growth since then has brought us to a team of eight people, with the need now to add another full-time Recruitment Consultant.
We are looking for an established Recruitment Consultant with a proven track record in developing new business and successfully filling positions at all levels from junior to senior roles, ideally with experience of both permanent and interim recruitment. Some experience of recruiting for HR positions would be ideal but it’s not essential. Your experience should have been gained in a professional and respectable consultancy, ideally within a client-driven marketplace.
The purpose of a consultant at Purple House is to manage your ‘desk’ by developing client relationships in order to generate and fill HR vacancies at all levels in a timely and professional manner and to meet agreed financial targets. Generating candidates for these roles using the most appropriate methodologies (database, search, advertising and networking) and to manage those relationships effectively over a long period of time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management and Development through networking, cold calling, client visits and presentations, mail shots and marketing
- Attending relevant events for networking and profile raising (eg CIPD, CBI, Business West etc)
- Devising and advising on appropriate recruitment solutions to fill clients vacancies
- Relationship development and management to offer a pragmatic and consultative solutions-based service
- Selling wider Purple House services (Purple House Executive, HR consultancy, psychometric services etc) where appropriate
- Generation of new candidates via networking, referrals, marketing and events
- Meeting and interviewing candidates to assess personality and skills and to gain market information
- Contribute to the Purple House business and marketing strategy by generating ideas for raising profile, events, candidate and client generation, associate relationships, addressing problems, market fluctuations etc
- A willingness to contribute as a team member in terms of assisting others, suggesting candidates for other Consultants roles, covering for others in their absence
Attributes, Experience & Skills:
- Excellent communicator, able to build genuinely lasting relationships
- Experience of selling advertised and search solutions as well as contingency
- A track record of billing a minimum of £100,000 + p.a. consistently
- A desire to build knowledge of a sector and be seen as an expert within it
- Ambitious and driven with a desire to exceed targets without compromising the quality of service offered to candidates and clients
- Able to act professionally and with integrity, maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Able to think ‘outside the box’ to find lateral solutions to client and candidate problems and to go the ‘extra mile’ for people both internally and externally
- Self motivated with the ability to work within a team oriented environment
- Honest and ethical with a passion for people!
The Package:
- Salary will depend on experience but we expect OTE to be in the region of £40-£50K
- Generous commission scheme
- 25 days holiday
