Employee Relations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager who would be highly credible within an industrial environment to lead a team of 3 ER Partners/HRBPs in the provision of a high quality employee relations support service to this hugely successful business.

Leading, motivating and developing a team of 3 in this skilled blue collar environment you will be working closely with a range of key stakeholders including Directors, Business Managers, Team Leaders, Engineers and shop floor personnel so the ability to engage at all levels is paramount.

Deliverables will include the successful delivery of the ER service (agreeing, meeting and exceeding SLA’s to provide an excellent service to the business), up-skilling managers to better manage ER issues, identifying and implementing service improvements and preparing for changing business and legislative needs.Working closely with works councils and senior leadership teams you will provide leadership for the ER operation, develop and influence ER policy and advise on escalated/complex ER issues.

Person specification:

  • The successful candidate will be either a seasoned ER Manager or an HR Generalist with excellent people management skills who has considerable skill and experience in developing ER policy and procedures within a high volume ER environment.
  • You will have a track record of successfully partnering and negotiating with key stakeholders along with well developed customer and relationship management skills to manage senior stakeholders.
  • You will be able to demonstrate the commercial skills to think strategically across the business and ER agenda and translate this into meaningful plans that can be implemented.
  • You must have strong leadership and people management skills to work in this environment and the credibility to build strong relationships and manage the function.
